Hi, I'm Genti, from Tirana, Albania. I'm not a chef — just a regular person who loves Albanian, Balkan and Mediterranean food and cooks it at home.

My favourite? Byrek me qepë dhe domate — byrek with onion and tomato. Nothing fancy, just simple, and it tastes like home every time.

I started The Sofra Kitchen to write these dishes down in a way anyone can follow: everyday ingredients, clear steps and honest timings, plus a note whenever the traditional way is different.
